Little Boy Blue

John and I have been doing lots to get things ready for our baby's arrival. We took a tour of the hospital and have been going to childbirth classes. They have really made the reality of our baby's upcoming arrival set in.
The other day John wanted to try out the carseat, so he picked it up and lugged it around with the base connected to the bottom. He said, "Wow. This is so heavy!" I removed the base and explained that we always keep that part in the car. He was quite relieved to know that the carseat is actually much lighter without the base. After that little incident, we thought it would be good to install the carseat this weekend just to be sure that we know how to use it correctly.
We set up a little cradle in our bedroom. I love seeing it every morning, knowning that our little baby will get to sleep there. John loves touching the soft blankets...and constantly reminds me that he'd like one of his own.
Books, blankets (only a few of them, but you can never have too many, especially because Dad plans take some for himself), and his moses basket.
We found a "John" binky and couldn't resist getting it. If we make any last minute decisions to change his name, big John will probably just keep it for himself.
